The Stars are one of the uncatalogued species who inhabit Heaven's Fence. Supreme Tri-Mage Wilhelm Ryan rounded up the Stars and had them brought to Si-Revody, a camp on the planet Shylos 10, where their souls were directly fed into the Keywork.

Hearshot Kid was the posthumous nickname given to the Star whom Claudio Kilgannon accidentally released aboard the Guile Griever. The story of his escape had gotten out to the other Stars at Si-Revody, giving them a sense of hope. The story Claudio later heard was that Hearshot Kid took on five guards before being killed. In reality, the panicked Star attacked Claudio before he was killed by the guards. However, Claudio decided not to tell the other Stars the truth.

Cecil was one of the Stars whom Claudio had befriended when he ended up on Shylos 10. He provided Claudio with clothes and somewhere to stay. After Claudio used his powers to attack a guard, Cecil advised him that it was unwise to alert the Red Army to his presence. After Cecil and Claudio were attacked by one of the Onstantine Priests, Cecil tells Claudio not to believe everything he reads in the Book Of Ghaansgrad, and eventually tells him to leave the camp and never return.

10 years later, Claudio did return under very different circumstances. He, Sizer, Al the Killer, and Ambellina launched a full-frontal assault on Camp Si-Revody, with Claudio determined to save Cecil before leaving Shylos-10. However, while fighting the Red Army along the way, Claudio used his unique powers as the Crowing to launch an energy wave. Rather then hitting the soldiers, he hit the defenseless Star and sent him flying into the furnace. He raced in after him, consumed with horror for what he had done, and destroyed it.
